The Fireplace had a clunky website that needed a good overhaul. When we started the project it was unclear if they would sell their products online, or if they would simply use it as a way to categorise and showcase their products. Because of this, we knew we needed to future proof the website and be ready for when things changed.

The strategy phase was key. We needed to ensure a great user experience and that meant grouping products into an intuitive order. We can’t stress enough how important this phase is, we simply won’t start a project without knowing where we are heading.

A leading e-commerce website needs to have an easy-to-use navigation and menu structure, a flexible product landing page with filters (so that the user can navigate with ease) and an intuitive product detail page. For this project we chose Shopify as it has a powerful back end that you can easily manage, process and ship your products from, as well as capacity to support your business with many amazing plugins.

There were also a lot of technical information pages to be handled in this project, ranging for download pages for the consumer, a dealer help section and a range of projects to showcase. By working through their many day-to-day challenges, we have simplified internal tasks, thus resulting in less administrative tasks for the team, and delivered a beautiful, contemporary website that proudly showcases their products and supporting information.
