Weekly Wrap: First for 2015

First day back for 2015 so we felt it was best to ease into the year with a few links to articles of interest from the last few weeks.

This past week the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was held in Las Vegas showcasing the latest in consumer electronics.  As digital marketers we've a keen interest in upcoming technologies. 

Hootsuite covers "Everything You Need To Know About Social Media Trends at CES 2015"



And Techcrunch shares their top video from CES including 'Drone Rodeo', Audi's concept cars and the Selfie Stick.


TheNextWeb reports that Twitter is planning to spread its ads to third party sites 

by selling ads embedded within tweets on third-party publishers’ sites and apps and splitting the revenue with those publishers.

Speaking of Twitter, they recently introduced a feature "While you were away..."   that keeps you up to speed on what you've missed while you've been away from your feed.


Fred Wilson of commented in his wrap of 2014 that "The social phase of the internet ended"  He also gave his thoughts on what 2015 has in store for the digital world.


And Facebook has acquired video-compression technology company QuickFire Networks confirming it's commitment to In Feed video on the network.
