Weekly wrap: what’s hot in the world of digital
This week we look at increasing lifetime value, Facebook’s clamp down on spam, and a couple of funky photo apps we think are worth a look. Here’s our top digital picks this week:
Lifetime value
The new Econsultancy and Sitecore report Customer Lifetime Value: Building Loyalty and Driving Revenue in the Digital Age found almost two-thirds of businesses (64%) rate customer experience as the best tactic for improving CLV, followed by better use of data and personalisation.

Clamp down
Facebook has explicitly revealed what it will be seeking to crack down upon within its latest news feed update. Marketers needs to steer clear of like-baiting, overly-shared content and spammy links. So if you’ve been using your Facebook page in a manipulative, click-baiting manner, Facebook will be making things a lot harder for you.
Re-design
Pinterest has redesigned its help centre, allowing people to quickly find what they need to know, whether on a laptop, or on a mobile device, the company claims.

Slide-share
Linkedin has introduced a new slide-share app for Android devices this week.

And our apps of the week:
Frontback: A fun camera app, which is now available for Android.

Union: This new app lets users combine photos in unique and creative ways.
